Récits de maillages : végétal et industrie is an artistic research project developed by Atelier Za'atar for the festival Latitudes Contemporaines in Lille. Combining walking, storytelling and sensory exploration, the project invites participants to rediscover the Fives Cail district through the intertwined histories of plants, industry and the people who have shaped the site. Drawing on archival research, residents' testimonies and close observation of spontaneous vegetation, the walk reveals the neighbourhood as a living mesh of human and more-than-human stories. Through listening, smelling, tasting and walking together, Récits de maillages offers a new reading of urban landscapes, highlighting unexpected processes of regeneration and the ecological relationships that continue to shape places in transformation.

Récits de maillages : végétal et industrie est un projet de recherche artistique développé par Atelier Za'atar pour le festival Latitudes Contemporaines à Lille. À travers une déambulation sensible mêlant récits, exploration sensorielle et observation du végétal, le projet invite à redécouvrir le quartier de Fives Cail au croisement de son histoire industrielle, de ses habitants et des dynamiques du vivant. S'appuyant sur des archives, des témoignages d'habitants et l'observation des plantes spontanées, cette proposition révèle le quartier comme un maillage d'histoires humaines et plus-qu'humaines. En mobilisant l'écoute, l'odorat, le goût et la marche, elle offre une autre lecture du paysage urbain et met en lumière les processus de régénération qui continuent de façonner ce territoire en transformation.
